Understand

Understand you have been given the gift of life.
Understand this debt you cannot pay.
Understand your parents are the reason you live.
Understand they are human and the only ones you've got.

Understand you will make mistakes like everyone has before you.
Understand you need to make as few as possible.
Understand everything has it's purpose and you have yours.
Understand you don't have to know nor will you know all things.

Understand your days are numbered, and they will come to an end.
Understand you won't be rewarded for everything you do right.
Understand you haven't been punished for all you've done wrong.
Understand you won't live life perfectly but you must try to live it right.

Understand you are no greater than those before you.
Understand you are no less than they that follow you.
Understand your children know only what they're taught.
Understand this earth and how we live on it will decide our fate with God.
